Vibrant Days…
Flourishing with Sensory Processing Sensitivity

It was my first time hosting a retreat for highly sensitive people. Elaine Aron was gracious to travel to my hometown and be the keynote speaker. A few minutes before starting Elaine and I were standing outside the auditorium giggling how we both desired new hairstyles. I admitted how shaky I felt to be speaking beside her, the master. She softly touched my arm and said, “Candy, they don’t need you to be like me. They need to see the trait in another person, please don’t be anybody but yourself.” It was exactly what I needed to hear and freed me to not only be myself but begin to see the diverse expression of the trait.

You can’t tell who is highly sensitive by looking at them. The trait shows up in every type of individual and every place on the planet. Somehow there are over 1 billion highly sensitive people waking up today. I love to imagine this and trust each one is playing an essential role simply by being themselves.
